Titel: International Perspectives in Clinical Social Work

Content: Since 2025, the face-to-face and hybrid online discussion on International Perspectives in Clinical Social Work has been held at Bielefeld University of Applied Sciences in cooperation with ECCSW.

With this special workshop, we would like to broaden the discourse around Clinical Social Work beyond the German-speaking countries and invite scientists and practitioners to present a subject addressing one or more of the following theoretical, empirical, conceptual, and/or praxeological topics in national perspectives from all over the world:

  • The history of clinical social work and its identity as a special profession and discipline
  • Challenges and opportunities of clinical social work research, practice, policy, or education in contemporary contexts
  • (Specific) clinical social work research, policy, practice, or education across national, social, cultural, disciplinary, and professional boundaries
  • Connecting clinical social work research and practice, including the co-creation of knowledge
  • Methodological development, innovation, and capacity building in clinical social work research
  • Theorizing clinical social work and/or clinical social work research
